I'm a retired UC Berkeley Lawrence Hall of Science curriculum developer. For 12 years (2000-2012), I worked 50% time on a grant to develop and disseminate education & public outreach media & materials for the NASA Kepler Mission (the 12-year Discovery mission that found over 2300 exoplanets in 4 years of active data collection). I started work at Lawrence Hall of Science in 1974 as a part-time planetarium show presenter in the Holt Planetarium, under the directorship of Alan Friedman (see my statement in memoriam for Alan Friedman). Our team developed audience-participation planetarium shows.

I've

- taught workshops and courses to local school groups
- led teacher education workshops locally, nationally and internationally
- worked on curriculum development teams:

- I've held these positions:
  - - Emeritus Director of The Lawrence Hall of Science Planetarium, Planetarium Activities for Successful Shows (PASS), and Participatory Oriented Planetariums for Schools (POPS)
    - Author in the Great Explorations in Math and Science (GEMS). Titles listed in right column.
    - Co-director of Hands-on Universe (HOU) project that enables teachers and students to analyze images with image processing software.
    - Director of Global Systems Science (GSS)—high school societal issues-based curriculum
    - On staff for Full Option Science System (FOSS) middle school course revisions project
    - NASA Kepler Mission Co-Investigator for Education and Public Outreach

I've also played some notes on the french horn.

The Lawrence Hall of Science Digital Planetarium began programs in 2006 in a 30 foot diameter negative pressure fabric dome inside a geodesic structure.

Signs near the planetarium entrance. Programs ended with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. A new Lawrence Hall of Science planetarium was constructed in 2022 with a 35 foot diameter Spitz dome.
